BAY STATE
 Farm Direct Flowers!!!

Bay State Farm Direct Flowers is the largest importer and distributor of floral products in New England. Our mission is to: "Provide superior quality products and services at the greatest value". We keep our costs low by taking advantage of our buying power and by importing our product directly from the farms. By using the most modern and efficient forms of transportation available to us, we are able to maintain our superior quality and service.

Founded in 1927 by Edward N. Johnson, Johnson Rose Co. prospered as a rose grower for approximately 60 years, at which time Mr. Johnson's children and grandchildren expanded the business to include wholesale cut flowers and plant distribution.

During the 1990, rose production was shifted to Company-owned farms in Ecuador. To expand the import product lines Johnson's Roses also established partnerships with dozens of other farms around the world. These farms provide products which are grown for and imported, directly to Johnsons to this day.

Bay State Florist Supply was founded in 1952 as a wholesale florist cooperative in Waltham, MA. Over the next ten years, the business grew and evolved into a full line wholesale florist. Early in the 1970's, expansion began and new locations throughout New England were added. Each location had a management team focused on the unique needs of their market.

In January 1999, the two companies merged to become Bay State Farm Direct Flowers, and moved into their new, 55,000 square foot state-of-the-art distribution facility, located in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Today, the company services a region spanning from southern Maine to northern New Jersey, and the New England coastline to mid-western Massachusetts. Two regional warehouses are located in Providence, RI and Manchester, NH.
For over 80 years, we have been successful in the extremely competitive New England market. We continue to be dedicated to our customers, our farms, and our employees. It is our belief that by ensuring that our customers, farms, and employees are successful - our business will be successful.
